This poster illustrates a key scene from Orson Scott Card’s novel, Ender’s Game. The goals of this project included creating an illustration that was consistent with the early teenage target audience of the book as well as communicating the emotional themes of the scene. The use of the mirror allows the depiction of the emotional war going on inside of Ender, which is a driving force of the book. This theme reaches its climax in the scene depicted where Ender reflects on who he is becoming after killing a bully who attacked him in the showers.
